The Spartan Trifecta is a badge of honor, earned by pushing your mind, body, and spirit to achieve greatness.
- To become a member of the Trifecta Tribe, one must complete one of each Spartan distance - Sprint, Super, and Beast.
- You can earn multiple Trifectas in a single Trifecta year; however, only one lap per day, per event will count.
Trifecta Calendar Year
- The 2026 Trifecta Calendar year will run from January 1st, 2026, to December 31st, 2026
What Counts Towards the Trifecta
A Spartan Stadion race will count as a Sprint towards the Spartan Trifecta.
A Spartan Ultra race will count as a Beast towards the Spartan Trifecta. The entire Ultra course must be completed for it to count. Only completing half will not count as a Beast towards your Trifecta. Completion of the Ultra will count as 1 Beast towards your Trifecta.
City Events, Hurricane Heats, Agoge, or Spartan Trail events do NOT count towards the Spartan Trifecta.
You can complete the races in any order; the Sprint does not have to be completed first.
Claiming the Trifecta
2026 Trifecta Program: The Hex Era
Welcome to the Hex Era. In 2026, we are revolutionizing how you celebrate your Trifecta journey with a fully modular, magnetic system. Every finisher medal now features a removable Hex coin in the center, allowing you to customize how you display your achievements. You can keep the coin in your finisher medal or pop it out and snap it into your Trifecta Base to build a personalized trophy that grows with your season. From the foundational X1 Base to the massive 10-inch Multi-Trifecta plates, this is a record of your grit—built by you, piece by piece.
1. How exactly does the new "Hex" system work? The core of the system is the Hex—a magnetic coin found in the center of every Sprint, Super, and Beast finisher medal. These coins are designed to be removed, so you can transfer them directly onto your Trifecta Base to fill your slots, or leave them in the original medal. The choice of how to build your display is entirely up to you.
2. I’m a first-timer. What do I earn for my first Trifecta? You will receive the X1 Base. This base features three slots on the front to display the Sprint, Super, and Beast Hexes you pull from your finisher medals. It also comes with the exclusive X1 Coin pre-installed in the back to mark the start of your journey.
3. Will I still get a large standalone medal for a Trifecta Weekend? No, the standalone Trifecta Weekend medal is being phased out in favor of the integrated system. Finishers will now earn a special Trifecta Weekend Coin that snaps directly into their current Base, allowing you to carry that achievement with you as part of your complete season record.
4. How do I display my progress as I earn multiple Trifectas (X2, X3, etc.)? You will progress through four distinct Base sizes depending on your milestone. You earn a 7-inch Base at X2, an 8-inch Base at X6, a 9-inch Base at X11, and the massive 10-inch Base at X16.
5. Do I get a new Base for every single Trifecta I complete? No. You receive a new Base only when you hit a "trigger" milestone (X1, X2, X6, X11, X16). For the intermediate Trifectas (like X3, X4, or X8), you will receive a specific Multi-Trifecta Coin to add to your current Base.
6. What comes included when I earn a new Base? Every new Base comes with its specific "trigger coin" already included. For example, when you earn your 7-inch Base, it will come with the X2 Coin included; subsequent coins like X3 and X4 are earned separately to fill the remaining slots.
