How to Track a Racer Online
If live tracking is available for your specific event, a digital tracking link will go live on race day.
Head to the Spartan website and navigate to your specific Event's Detail page.
Look for the active Live Tracking link.
Search for your racer using their name or bib number (Bib number will only work for Elite or Age Group Athletes) to follow their progress.
How to Track a Racer On-Site (Or if Cell Service is Low)
At some event venues, cellular service can be spotty. If you cannot access the online link, or if the tracking link isn't available for your event, you can still track your racer on-site:
Visit the Timing & Results Area: Head over to the designated Timing/Results tent inside the festival village.
Use the Provided Tablets: We provide dedicated digital tablets for spectators. Simply type in your racer’s name to instantly view their latest stats and location updates.
How the Tracking System Works (Important Note)
🛑 Note: This is not a live GPS tracker. The system does not show a real-time, moving blue dot on a map.
Instead, our tracking relies on timing checkpoints:
As your racer tackles the course, they will cross physical timing mats placed at specific milestones and obstacles.
Every time they cross a mat, their time is instantly recorded and updated in the system.
This gives you a great understanding of their current pace, a general idea of where they are on the course, and—most importantly—exactly when you should start heading to the finish line to cheer them across the fire jump!
