Unbreakable Virtual Challenge

Welcome to the Spartan Unbreakable Challenge! 

What is it?

The Unbreakable Challenge is for runners, gym junkies, kids, weekend warriors, newbies, professional athletes, moms and dads, dogs, and anyone who wants to be part of a global movement to #BeUnbreakable. 

This is a completely online challenge. Every week for the next 4 weeks, Spartans will complete a set number of repetitions of one, two, or three simple bodyweight exercises (with no equipment needed). Each attempt must be submitted via an online form, and all entries will be ranked by the total length of time it takes to complete each workout. The top competitors at the end of the 4 weeks will move on to a Finals week challenge!

You can submit your results at any time during the 7 day period for that challenge, however every 6 hours, you can join thousands of other Spartans around the world to compete side by side in a Zoom chat.

Registration choices include an Elite, Open, and Kids option for kids 13 and under. The Open and Kids options are free. Results will not be strictly enforced, the Honor System will guide your form!

Elite entries are $10/week, as competitors are vying for monetary prizes. These submissions will also be reviewed to ensure proper form is followed. 

Results Submissions

  • Athletes will submit their results here. You can only submit the workout that is live during that week. Review the schedule below
  • You can submit multiple results, your score will be based on your best one. However, you can only submit one set of results per day during the 7 day challenge period. 
  • Video submissions are the responsibility of the individual. This means any broken links, incomplete videos, low-quality resolution, etc. may not be counted. .


Plain and simple, the faster your time, the higher your rank.

  • Competitors will receive points based on their finishing position. If you finish 1st, you get 1 point. If you finish 2nd, you get 2 points.
  • The leaderboard will reflect the accumulation of points throughout the challenge. The winners will be those with the lowest accumulated points. 
  • Elite results will be reviewed for proper form and rep counts. 
  • The top 100 male and female competitors in each leaderboard will qualify for the finals week. To qualify, you must participate and submit results for all 4 weeks. 
  • For Elite competitors, each missed repetition will result in a 30-second penalty. 


1. Weekly Challenge Schedule

  • Week 1: Wednesday 3/25 - Tuesday 3/31 (submissions must be in by 11:59 PM EST)
  • Week 2: Wednesday 4/1 - Tuesday 4/7 (submissions must be in by 11:59 PM EST)
  • Week 3: Wednesday 4/8 - Tuesday 4/14 (submissions must be in by 11:59 PM EST)
  • Week 4: Wednesday 4/15 - Tuesday 4/21 (submissions must be in by 11:59 PM EST)
  • Finals: Saturday 4/25 - Sunday 4/26 (submissions must be in by 11:59 PM EST)

2. Compete with your fellow Spartans daily, around the globe at the following times!

  • 00:00 EST


Prizes will be issued at the end of each week's challenges.

The Open and Kids challenges will not feature physical prizes but may include a variety of accolades such as:

  • Most improved
  • Best with a pet
  • Best workout song
  • Best costume

The Workouts

Week 1: "Burpees or Bust" (Ended)

  • Challenge - Complete 30 burpees as fast as you can. Record your total time and submit. The faster your time, the higher your rank. 
  • Official Spartan Burpee form must be followed. You can review that here. 
  • Make sure your chest touches the ground, your knees and hips fully extend when returning up, your feet leave the ground, and your hands go overhead. 
  • Challenge #1 lasts from 3/25 - 3/31 (11:59PM EST). 
  • Submit results here. 

Week 2: "Push It"

  • Challenge - Complete as many hand release pushups as you can in 60 seconds. 
  • Form:  
    • Begin in the upright plank position.
    • Lower yourself until your chest touches the ground.
    • Release your hands from the ground completely.
    • Return your hands to the ground and push yourself back up into the upright plank position.
  • Challenge #2 lasts from 4/1 - 4/7 (11:59PM EST).
