2018: Kids World Championship

What is the Spartan Kids World Championship Race?

Open to US and International competitors, this is the first Kids OCR World Championships ever and will give qualifying athletes a chance to compete on a larger scale, in front of a global audience.  This event will help set the stage in what will become an even bigger 2019 season.

When is the Spartan Kids World Championship Race?

Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Laughlin Weekend Presented by Laughlin Tourism Commission.  There will be a male and female gated heat specifically for qualifiers.

What are the age limits?

All qualifiers must be between 10 and 13 years old.

Participants must have been between the ages of 10-13 years at time of qualifying.

Participants that were 13 years of age at time of qualifying will still be eligible to run in the Championship heat if they turn 14 prior to November 18th.

Disclaimer: Qualified participants for the World Championship heat may be required to submit documents verifying birth date.

How do you qualify?

Any 10-13 year old can qualify by placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a 2-mile competitive heat between January 1, 2018 through November 4, 2018.

Qualifiers will be notified by email after their qualifying race.

How do qualifiers register for the Spartan Kids World Championship Race?

Sign up here.  The cost is $55 per racer and includes an event-specific shirt and lanyard.

How long is the Spartan Kids World Championship course?

The event will feature a 2.9 mile double lap course with racers completing 40+ total obstacles.  This will be a timed event, with course marshals, video coverage and reviews.

Will there be awards?

Yes, the Top 5 males and Top 5 females will receive tiered prize packs valued from $200-$2000. There will be limited edition award plaques given to the Top 3 males and Top 3 females.
