What is an Annual Pass?

In the United States, we are offering a single annual pass valid for ANY heat at all of our US Sprint, Super or Beast events (including our stadium events) that take place within 365 days of your purchase.

Your pass is valid for one chip-timed entry per day, per event. For pass holders that would like to run an additional timed lap, there will be an additional On-Site charge of $14 for a new timing chip, bib packet, finisher medal and shirt. As a pass holder, if you would like to run an additional UNTIMED lap, please see our registration team on site, on race day, for availability and approval.

NOTE: Your Annual Pass is unique to you and can not be shared. Pass usage is audited. If racers are discovered sharing passes, passes may be revoked and any race results disqualified. Annual passes are non-transferable once purchased.

What are the benefits?

All US Memberships include:

  • Entry into all events during the life of your pass
  • Pass valid for registration in Elite, Competitive, Morning or Afternoon Heats (Not Valid for Kids Races or Spectator registrations)
  • Reduced cost on multiple per day lap fees
  • Free Bag Check
  • Free Spectator Pass (for 2016 pass holders)
  • VIP Notification of New US Races Opening

How do I view my pass or confirm when it expires?

  1. Head over to your ChronoTrack account at: http://www.chronotrack.com and choose "Athlete Login" in the upper right corner. Please log in with the same email address that you used for your purchase.
  2. Once you are in your ChronoTrack Athlete profile, select the "Membership Tab" and you will see the Spartan Annual Pass Membership event.  This membership event indicates that you will be able to register for all events within the 365 of the purchase date.
  3. The expiration date will be listed under your membership.

How do I sign up with my new pass?

  1. Find an event on our Event Pages
  2. Click on Register button on the top of the event page you choose.
  3. When prompted, sign into your ChronoTrack account, using the SAME email address as you used to purchase your pass (THIS IS IMPORTANT).
  4. Once you select your preferred start time you will immediately see your registration discounted 100%, leaving you to pay only the $14 racer insurance (totals are reflected on the right hand side of the screen).
If you do NOT immediately see this discount, please contact our Customer Service team for assistance before proceeding.

How do I use my benefits?

Annual Pass Membership benefits are easy to use.

  • Race registration benefits can be used immediately upon purchase, as noted above (How do I sign up with my new pass?)
  • Free Bag Check is claimed simply by showing up to the event and providing your name at the Bag Check Tent. Only one free bag may be checked per Pass Holder. Additional bags will be subject to regular bag check fees.
  • Free Spectator Pass can be claimed by you or your spectator on race day at Spectator Registration. There will be an available pass under your name. You do NOT need to register the spectator online prior to race day.

Can I share my pass with a friend if I am not attending an event?

NO. The pass is only valid for the person it is registered to. If your pass is used to register someone else, their order will be cancelled. If it is caught after the event, they will be DQ'ed and their results removed from the event. Your pass will also be revoked with no refunds given. There is a zero tolerance policy on Annual Pass abuse. No excuses, no exceptions.

Can I use it on the Hurricane Heats?

Yes. If you purchased the 2015 pass (priced at $549) however, the Annual Pass may be used on EITHER the Hurricane Heat (regular or HH12HR) OR a regular race registration. Your Annual Pass will not allow you to register for both a race registration and a HH at no cost. Signing up for the HH event will use your free entry for that day even if the HH heat is being held on a different day such as our Friday night HH.

If you purchased the 2016 pass (priced at $699) the pass includes both the normal HH and the 12 hour HH. However if you have already signed up for the race you will need to contact customer service at US@spartan.com for a code to use.

International Passes

For questions or concerns regarding our Canadian or UK passes, please contact our International Team members here

What else do I need to know?

  • The US season pass is only valid on eligible races in the US.
  • The Spartan Membership guarantees entry to every event during the life of your pass, but does not guarantee entry into a specific heat. The registration Team will give priority to Membership holders when adjusting heat assignments, or accepting last minute registrations, but requests will still be subject to space limitations.
  • Specialty races such as the Ultra Beast, Charity races, or other possible special events including ones put on by Spartan's Partners may not be included, or may be included at a reduced rate. Events that are NOT Annual Pass Eligible will be indicated on the Event Page for that specific event.
  • The pass cannot be put on hold in the case of injury, moving, or any other reasons.
  • We are not able to credit current or past registrations toward the cost of a pass.
  • We are not able to refund current registrations if you buy a pass after signing up for an event.
  • The pass is non refundable and non transferable.
  • When you sign up with the pass we are not able to transfer that registration to another person or event and the insurance and other other fees paid are non refundable.
  • At this time you are not able to purchase the pass for someone else. The pass does need to be purchased through the intended racers ChronoTrack account.
  • Annual Pass Holders have access to sold out events, however not sold out heats. If an event is completely sold out we will accommodate you in the afternoon session.

If you have any additional questions, or specific concerns, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Aja, I just purchased my annual pass and I purchased a few races that I paid extra for confirmed start times. Now the 2015 pass will allow entry into any heat. Will I get a refund for those races? Willl my pass be eligible for any heat in the future?

The thing has prevented me from buying the annual pass is I am a military reservist & I never know if and when I get deployed. So far I have averaged 3-6 months a year & if I buy one can I suspended it until I get back?

I would like to by the pass, but I feel I would be wasting my money if I get deployed yet again & I never know the length of the deployment.

Could someone out there advise on what can be done if I buy a pass?

Thank you for time and consideration with this inquiry .

Can you have 2 active annual passes at the same time, overlapping (i.e. Sept 2015-Sept 2016 and Jan 2016-Jan 2017) under the same account? It seems that would be the only way to guarantee you get into the cash heat for all the races you want, since you run the risk of later races in the year filling up before you could renew?

    Hello,

All pass holders will be on a list at the event. Just give them your name and you ID and you will be all set.

    Hi

I was going to purchase the annual pass at $400 (SPC?) instead of registering for races during black friday weekend discounts. If I knew Spartan was going to change the pass without mention I would have purchased the $400 pass earlier or registered with black friday discounts. This does not sit well with me financially - Is there a way to purchase the $400 pass anymore? $150 is a BIG jump and I planned to do 2 trifectas which I don't think makes sense to get the pass anymore. Please help.

The email I received that provided me with my renewal discount code also mentioned that there is an option to upgrade to the new pass if I recently purchased my annual pass in 2014. What is the cost for the upgrade? Is the only difference the addition of the Global Rescue Assistance and Spartan Membership Discount Program?

    Ronnie,
That's absolutely correct! The Annual Pass is for race entries and the VIP Membership is spectator passes!

I purchased the Annual Pass and I also purchased the VIP membership because I wanted the spectator pass for each event. I did not see anything in the Annual Pass benefits that included a spectator pass is this accurate?

I am a current 2014 Annual Pass Holder, and my pass expires on July 22nd. Right now, all of the races that I will be competing in do not take places until after my pass expires, so I would like to renew my pass now, so that I can sign up for 5 more races for 2015. I attempted to purchase a renewal pass via the chronotrack site, and when I entered my SPC# in the coupon section it came up as invalid.

Must I wait until my current pass expires (and thus run the risk that the heat I want to run for the DC race a few days after the pass expires will fill up), or can I renew now, and have my date reset to now? I plan on purchasing the Annual Pass from here on out for the rest of my (Spartan) life. Do I need to get used to the fact that July 22nd is the only day I can purchase a pass?

I apologize for any confusion, there are no discounts that are valid on the annual pass.

    Hey Alexander,

Since the Annual membership already offers such a deep discount over the normal individual pricing of the events we do not offer any discounts on pass.

    Thanks,

    Hey Jacob!
Our annual passes have a rolling start/end date, in that they work for EVENTS within 365 days of your date of purchase. So, you're correct, if you purchase your pass on August 1, 2015, it would expire on Aug 1, 2016. You could NOT register for an event in September 2016 with that same pass.
If we do make any changes between 2015 and 2016 passes, we will do our best to make the switch over as fair as possible for all the current pass holders.

    Hi Drew!
If you purchased a pass in 2015, then you will have a renewal credit code sitting in your Chronotrack account! Just log in to your Chronotrack account, view the coupons section, and you should see that code there! Simply take that code (including any dashes) and put in in as a discount coupon, during your purchase of the new pass.
    Thanks!

    Hello,

Yes, you are able to purchase a pass at any time and it would be valid for one year from the date of purchase even if you had a current pass.

    Thanks,

    Aja or Gary,

My question above was not answered. The Breckenridge Sprint on Sunday was cancelled. They moved my reg to Saturday, but I am already racing on Saturday. If I want to defer my race, I will be charged $27. I have an annual pass, so I don't care about the reg, but I paid $14 in insurance. I want that back. Please point me in the right direction to resolve this.

    Hi John,
Deployments definitely make annual passes a bit tricky, but we're always happy to assist our military members in any way that we can. If you do buy one, then get deployed, we can work with you to suspend it, as needed. Just make sure to let Customer Service know (us@spartan.com).
