What is the 3K Elite Series?
The 3K Elite Race is a new format for 2023, inspired by ‘criterium’ style races; it features a three-round knockout format. The 3K Elite Series will be by invitation only with top racers from 2022 getting early access to a guaranteed spot.
Earn points from each event, the best 3 out of 4 races will count toward series ranking.
Invite and Application Process
Top competitors from 2022 and other competitors at Spartan’s discretion will be invited to sign up with guaranteed access to a spot for 14 days after the invitation. Once those 14 days have passed, any remaining spots will be made available to qualified applicants. These spots will be available on a first come first serve basis and this invitation does not guarantee access to the event. Once the event is sold out, no additional spots will be available.

In order to be considered for an invitation racers should be able to complete a 5k in under 20 minutes at a minimum (Please note this is not the only criteria and submitting a qualifying time under 20 minutes does not guarantee an invitation.)
Rounds
All 3K events consist of the following rounds, each round will be repeated for M/F races.
Each event is limited to 90 racers (45 Male and 45 Female):
- A first 1k / 1 lap of between 10 and 12 obstacles is a qualifying round known as Q1.
- A second 1K / 1 lap qualifying round known as Q2 of the fastest 30 competitors from Q1.
- A final round of 3K / 3 laps, otherwise known as the ‘Final’, with the top 15 competitors from Q2.
Prize money and plaques awarded to the top 3 M/F of the Final heat.

The top 3 Male and Female competitors will win Cash Prizes and Awards as follows:

Other Important Information:

- The Season Pass is not valid for the 3K events, however, the Unbreakable Pass is valid.
- Event sign-up links are valid for invited athletes only and should not be shared with anyone. Anyone who signs up without receiving an official invitation will be removed from the event.
- 3K events are non-transferable
- No Finisher Medals nor shirts are awarded at these events.
- This event does not count towards any part of the Trifecta
